Description: This study attempts to fill the current research gaps pertaining to the antecedents and consequences of successful international knowledge transfer through strategic alliance in a transition economy context. The research also highlights the theoretical frameworks that examine linkages between antecedents of the transfer of knowledge, contractual channels, and firm knowledge transfer performance in China. This research is undertaken in the context of the unprecedented rapid growth of the Chinese economy as well as an explosion of research and theorising on the knowledge economy and its implications for knowledge management and knowledge transfer.
